Almost every mom has a routine – whether they think they do or not. It’s how we get through a day. Some moms keep the same routine every day, others change it up depending on the day.
For example, on Mondays and Tuesdays I spend the morning tidying up then head outside to hang out on the deck with my youngest (if the weather allows it). On Wednesdays I leave town to clean my mom’s then come home and veg out in bed while my youngest naps. Thursdays and Fridays are the days that I use to run errands, book appointments, make phone calls and anything else that needs to be done outside our home. Saturdays are spent doing laundry and Sundays are for self-care: nails, waxing, menu planning, planner catch up, bubble bath and Netflix. I am a very organized person and own a few different planners that keep me in my routine.
What I’ve learned over the years is that an unspoken rule of motherhood is that routines matter. The moms that you see who seem to have their sh*t together and seem happier than others are usually that way because they have a routine of some kind and stick to it.
Do you have a routine?
